Tea Party Rally at the White House - June 16, 2009

On Tuesday, June 16th an enthusiastic group of DC Young Suffragists rallied for voting rights at the White House. This marked the 7th anniversary of this annual event. Our Young Suffragists were powerful and passionate as they took laps in front of the President's house asking for help, from anyone in earshot, in securing voting representation in the House and the Senate for residents of the District of Columbia.

Many thanks to all the DC Young Suffragists parent partners who helped get permits, brought their kids to the White House and who have shown such extraordinary commitment over the years to this effort to educate and engage our young leaders! Our sincere thanks to some of the special friends of the DC Young Suffragists—DC Vote, Shadow Senator Mike Brown and Chadwick Cipiti Studios, Inc.—who helped make the morning more fun by sharing wisdom, stickers and taking pictures!

Don't miss out! Join us in making a difference in our city! Fall program coming to you soon!

May 6, 2004 - "There was a rally on Thursday, where a lot of kids were protesting for a vote
and senators for DC. There were snacks and speeches. When we do another
rally, you can come too!"
